Launching my own design community, NextGen Tribe, was a dream come true. I did it with a simple goal in mind: to empower young adults take ownership through accountability and design.
Through our design cohort, focused on beginner design, and weekly review sessions and visibility challenges, our mission is to empower One million young adults to become confident designers. Our design cohort is where design meets personal branding meets feedback. A perfect place for learners to become confident designers
People often ask why I decided to focus just on design. For me, it was a no-brainer. I have a huge love for design and I believe in that saying, "It’s better to go an inch wide and a mile deep." This lets us really double down on what we do best. On a personal level, I founded NextGen Tribe with my friends as a passion project to help people overcome anxiety and build their brands. Plus, I'm even learning and improving my own video editing skills by building and failing in public on Twitter!
We officially launched NextGen Tribe in February 2025 with our first cohort. It was a 16-week program at first, with eight weeks for fundamentals and eight for hands-on practice. But after we got some great feedback from our members ("Nexties") and our facilitators ("Guardians"), we changed things up. We decided to make it a standard 12-week program, which we felt was the perfect amount of time.
